Dad loves to read, right?  Well, with father’s day coming up, we here at Long Days and Pleasant Nights thought we’d offer you a chance for a freebie.  If you are a dad, have a dad, know a dad or ever aspire to be a dad then you are eligible to win one copy of each of the books listed below.  Yes, the prize package is 11 books.

Hachette Book Group USA has graciously offered to supply the books.  Books that it specifically selected for dad’s everywhere.

The only catch here is that you must live in the USA or Canada.  To win, first subscribe to Long Days and Pleasant Nights in your favorite feed reader (a donation would be nice, but is not required.  You can donate by clicking the donate button to the right, just above Jason’s Shared Items) then leave a short  paragraph in the comments about your own dad.  I will select five winners next week.  You must have your paragraph in the comments by the end of Wednesday, June 11th.

Here’s a rundown of the books with links to more info on the Hachette website.

My dad used tell the corniest jokes. They weren’t funny, but we laughed anyway. Sadly, I think I inherited his humor gene.

Greetings, I know I am too late, but I am going to write about my dad just for fun! He will be turning 90 years young in July! My older brother was a few months old, when dad was drafted into the Navy during WWII.
The great stories that he can tell about that experience. When he returned home, my brother was two years older and cried when he saw dad because he didn’t know him! I also have a sister 10 years older than me! Dad used to work 3 jobs to support his family. His big thing in life is that we all receive college degrees. My brother was a Veterinarian for over 30 years before he passed away, my sister is a retired school teacher and I have a degree in Psychology/Speech Communication. We are going to have some party when his birthday comes on July 12th.
    Thanks, Cindi
